Buffalo horn has a high level of comfort due to the structure of the material. It is a surprisingly hardy material being the precursor to modern plastics it can be dropped and knocked around without damage.
In the 19th century it was commonly used for hair combs, belt buckles, brooches etc. Horn is lighter and more durable than comparable jewelry made out of synthetic materials and is suitable for people with allergies to plastics and metals.
*It should be noted that natural horn has growth lines throughout [as wood has] which are normally seen as white lines. These are not faults or blemishes they are natural growth inclusions occurring in all genuine organic horn products.
These Plugs have grooves for O-Rings.
